Free monthly online Seminars
We Invite Specialists to present on topics suggested by members. Our goal is to bring experts to your home so you get your questions answered from Live specialists.

We have in-house talent and we also invite specialists who graciously volunteer their time and knowledge for the benefit of the community

Teleconference-based disussion Sessions
Members engage in open discussions to learn from each other in a live interactive environment.

Get-togethers for Families and Kids
Take some time to relax and get to know your community while kids enjoy doing crafts, playing games and making new friends

Tips on Keeping Kids Busy in Winter- Dipti Namjoshi


Physical activity gaining a lot of importance- disease preventions (Chronic diseases- diabetes, CVD, blood pressure and most importantly obesity)
The recommended amount of physical activity is at least 60min most days of the week.
With increasing amount of time spent watching TV, physical activity is getting hampered: it is becoming critically important to reduce TV time to <2hrs>

Puzzles- great way to keep kids occupied- think fun has some good puzzles for older kids.

Home depot- workshop every 1st Saturday of the month. – You can bring the project home and do it at leisure.

Puppet shows.

Helping with chores- sort your clothes from the adult’s clothes, make socks pair.

Make card bungalows.

Play dates.

Stretching exercises inside the house. Hula hoop. Or if you have a basement- jump rope, maybe. Simon says.

Hot and cold game – You hide a toy and then try to find it. When you get close to that place say hot when far away say cold. Kids enjoy this game.

Camping – build a real tent or a tent with blankets.

Kids pictionary-is a fun game so you get to draw and guess the object.

Kids can sort the big spoons from the small spoons and put them in the drawer.

Indoor board games- monopoly, pictionary, thinks fun puzzles, uno, matching card game.

A visit to the library.

Art- drawing and craft.

One could also do indoor treasure hunts with the child's favorite toys
